23 ways personalise your wedding with creative ideas on how to use the one design, across your whole event and beyond.

Custom calligraphy designs can add a whole new level of personalisation to so many elements of your wedding day. But they aren’t just for wedding invitations and stationery. My round up shares the best ways to get the most out of your most special design.

Custom calligraphy names are like the modern day coat of arms. Your wedding is the first time your names will be represented together and the joining of a new family, bond and love should be celebrated. We created custom calligraphy name designs to create both a full length version and monogram of your names together.

But contrary to popular belief calligraphy isn’t just for invitations, the design we create for you is supplied in a digital format which means it can be applied across all elements of your wedding. I’ve created this list to inspire you to think about all the different ways you can apply your very own custom name design.

1. Wedding invitations

Probably the most common that comes to mind when custom calligraphy designs are mentioned, but certainly only the tip of the iceberg when couples decide to purchase custom name designs. While many people mistakenly believe that a cursive font can replicate calligraphy, many people don’t realise their names are the hero of your wedding stationery and one of the most important elements and always looks better in hand written calligraphy designs.

2. Wedding Website

As well as your physical stationery, most couples are now opting to also include a wedding website for RSVP to keep things organised and easy for guest to create a beautiful, seamless experience when responding to their invitations. Your digital calligraphy name designs can also be applied to your digital wedding site for a cohesive look and feel to the site.

3. Wedding Veil

A true heirloom from your wedding is your wedding veil and what better way to create a perfect moment in your photos and something you’ll truely treasure for a lifetime, by adding custom name embroidery. One of the most popular applications of our custom name designs and one of my person favourites.

Made insanely popular by Hayley Bieber in her 2019 wedding to Justin Bieber, a customised wedding veil is one of the most common ways we see brides wanting to bring their name design or special wording into their wedding designs

4. Reception Signage

Calligraphy details really elevate stationery and beautiful pieces such as reception signage, seating charts and wall decals really bring to life the unique creation you’ve invested in and really set off your reception style in a way a cursive font could never…

5. Monogram cuff detail

Not just for the brides, detailing small elements of the grooms attire can also add to the magic of the little details. Why not use your custom monogram to create a sense of heirloom and tradition.

I’ll be those little details your treasure when looking back on your photos and reusing your monogram for your family details beyond your wedding day.

6. Getting ready outfits

Another way to truely personalise and make use of your custom designs is incorporating the brides name or the monogram into the getting ready attire. Think customised wedding pyjamas and bridal robes to bring to life some of the smaller details.

8. Couples stationery

I love seeing the calligraphy that my couples have had created for their wedding becoming a permanent fixture in their lives and a symbol of their new family bond they’ve created together. One of the most elegant ways to continue using your custom name or monogram is having couples stationery created.

One of the fun trends going viral right now on tiktok is wedding merch. Think custom hoodies, tees, caps and “corporate” merch but make it bridal. This is so much fun especially for hens parties/ Bachelorette and Bucks / Stags. 18. Bonboniere & Keepsakes

Everyone loves a thoughtful little gift from a wedding. What can turn a bland gift into an elevated one is little touches of personalisation. Think tiny monograms or wedding dates so they’ll always remember it’s from your special day. Whether you go the traditional route of little parcels of sugared almonds or modern take like mini candles or oil infusions – using your couple monogram adds that little extra touch.

19. Wine labels

A fun an inexpensive way to personalise your wine bottles and make them specifically for your wedding. Whether it’s the bottle of your first toast, bridesmaid proposals or gifts, custom wine labels can add a memorable way to customise those little details. Adding your custom calligraphy design will ensure all your design elements are matching and cohesive.

Add drama and magic to your reception by having your design created into a large scale artwork. Even something as simple as a wall decal or custom dance floor decal can really make your names together so much a part of your overall look of the reception design.

The opportunities are endless and what i love most about the designs is that each and other couple can choose the perfect calligraphy style that reflects them as a couple and choose to use it in a way that represents their own personal style and unique elements that make it 100% their wedding.
